Since the Maldives is a tropical destination, comfortable, light, and breathable attire is recommended. It's also a good idea to have sun protection with you. You really do not want sunburns to mar your vacation. When you are packing a bag for the Maldives, make sure that you include the below things!

Sunhat
A sunhat is an absolute must-have for every Maldives traveller's packing list. As the Maldives is a tropical nation, the sun shines brightly all year long. You will want to wear a hat and sunglasses to shield your head and eyes from the sun's damaging rays. It is suggested to bring a sunhat with a broad brim so that you can get the most protection possible.
Sandals/Flip-Flops
You will most likely spend a significant amount of time wandering along the beach and relaxing outdoors. Pack shoes that won't make you feel weighed down. Bring two pairs of sandals; one for wandering about the resort and then another pair to go with your evening attire. This is extremely useful when you’re in beachfront luxury Maldives resorts the likes of Heritance Aarah Maldives. You won't have to worry about getting sand in your cute sandals.
Sunglasses
You cannot complete your packing list without a pair of sunglasses! Since the Maldives is positioned close to the equator, the sun is more intense here than it is elsewhere. A good pair of sunglasses with UV protection should indeed be brought along to keep your eyes protected and to prevent you from straining your eyes all day. Polarized sunglasses will be ideal for the Maldives because they will reduce glare and protect you from the sun's harmful rays.
Rain Jacket
Depending on the time of year you travel, you may want a rain jacket. A raincoat will be necessary if you are visiting during the monsoon season. But do not be too concerned because most often it only rains for a couple of minutes. You'll also be alright if you opt not to bring an umbrella since your resort will almost certainly provide them. When you are riding your bike around the islands in the rain, the rain jacket you packed will come in quite handy.
Swimsuits
Swimming suits that are suited for the dress code of your resort must be on your Maldives packing list. In the case of a resort on a private island, you are unlikely to encounter no limits on the kind of swimwear that you may wear (within reason, of course). If you're vacationing on the main island which is Male, on the other hand, you'll want to bring more conservative swimwear. Swimming suits with one-piece bottoms are comfier for water activities such as snorkelling or scuba diving, whilst bikinis are more appropriate for lounging in the sun.
Cover-ups for Swimsuits
Additionally, you will want to bring along a few lightweights and comfy coverups for times you are not sunbathing or swimming to keep you cool and comfortable.
Sundresses and Rompers
Sundresses or rompers are ideal for donning on for breakfast, lunch, supper, and other activities around the resort. Also excellent for activities such as island hopping and exploration.
Maxi Dresses
Your resort will most likely offer a handful of informal restaurants as well as a couple of more luxury eateries. In order to have a pleasant dining experience at an elite restaurant, you need to be dressed in acceptable attire. Maxi dresses come very helpfully in situations like these. They have an attractive appearance and go great with sandals. So, make sure to pack a maxi dress or two for your vacation! It will come in handy!
